Sunday is a work day here too, so that means I will actually have to suffer through an awful day at work while counting milliseconds until I can finally weep myself to sleep with LP9. We're gonna be alright!
Extremely jealous, it will probably be sweet. Unless they decide to perform a surprise noise set, which seems like something they might do. Have fun!
You win. I'm going to give it a try when I wake up tomorrow. Which means I win too.
Sweet first #1 to top this crazy week! This was all A LOT to take in, but I hope every week will be new Radiohead & James Blake week. LP9 comes out exactly one week before my birthday and it's already everything I ever wanted for a present!
I made you a meme http://i.imgur.com/WXwDIgP.jpg
It's on my list. But I feel like it would be a very odd listen in between repeat spins of The Colour in Anything and LP9
Yes! My other favorite track so far. There's just so much going on in this album
Green Room is incredible! I watched it last year in some film festival and it blew my mind. Killer soundtrack too
And all of a sudden I really, really want James to cover Bowie's Modern Love. damn
I had to drive a 30 minute distance back and forth earlier, so I did the right thing. It was a pretty emotional ride
Back in 2011 I convinced some friends to come see James Blake with me at this music festival we attended. Save for one friend who knew him beforehand, they all hated it. Then Overgrown came out two years later and at least half of them regretted not caring for the show back then
It should definitely not be a thing
*CAN'T be stated. although I'm willing to state it however many times needed
Also, this can be stated enough times: Timeless is fucking amazing. It's got everything. I'm stunned
Overgrown was a big deal for me. It was my favorite record of 2013, and almost nothing that came out since has hit me quite the same way that Retrograde had. So this album is another big deal for me. It's a lot to take in at once, with that length and those many tracks. But I only listened through one and a half times and I already have trouble picking my favorite track out of like 6 options. This man is a master of synthesizing emotion and musicality in a way few others can, and I love every fucking second of it. I really look forward to spending time with this album a whole fucking lot, even with that other big album coming out on Sunday
Yeah, I'm out of words for that video. It was simply breath-taking beauty
Did he dress like on the mixtape cover for the performance? you gotta love that dude
Can we talk about Noise Above Our Heads? It's so fucking good it's ridiculous.
Major standout of the album. Really a timeless track (zing!)
I mean, this is the same feeling I get when I listen to Black Sabbath (the song). It's quite a great feeling
I really wanted this to be good but I couldn't even make it halfway through. Hope he's fine and back in shape soon
Yeah that is some major bullshit
I know for a fact that if I lived anywhere near NY I would have been one of the first to come visit his house after he gave out the address
I mean, between this and the new James Blake, even my feelings are feeling things
OK, I lied. I've been refreshing Dead Air Space like crazy. Unleash this motherfucker on us o gods of Radiohead
Drake drops 80 minute album - "get a fucking editor" James Blake drops a 76 minute album - "where's that 20 minute track you promised!?!?"
I'm actually all in for Radiohead releasing a new video every couple of days for the next couple of weeks until the album drops. Will get my hype off the roof. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually OK with Radiohead not dropping the album this weekend, so they don't steal James Blake's thunder (and also so it drops right on my birthday)
U mad? Blood Sugar Sex Magik is a hundred times better than Californication
(Also, hos name is Jeremy Bolm, not Born)
Ohhh my god. This is amazing. That fucking guitar tone is everything, it really reminds me of Converge, which is a compliment
