Your avatar is very spot on! Thumbs up to you sir.
Speaking of RAA - I'm ashamed to admit I haven't listened to their last album yet. How is it compared to Departing? I really should get around to that
It doesn't suck at all! I like it well enough. I didn't care for their first album much when it came out, but I re-listened to it several times recently and it's really good. The new one I liked right off the bat, and I will definitely go back to it some more times this next few weeks and beyond. It has some real gems.
Speaking of TLSP and gems, you should definitely listen to b-sides from their first album! Keeping with true Arctic Monkeys tradition, their b-sides are really great. "Hang the Cyst" is especially beautiful.
That White Lung song is incredible. I haven't heard their last album yet, but this is like a million levels above "Sorry", and I loved that album. I can't wait!
I'm LOVING the White Album. I've been listening on repeat since it came out. It's really good. Even the one or two weak songs are not that bad, and the rest is incredible IMO. It's a return to the hooky, rocking Weezer I grew up on. I'm so glad to have this album in 2016.
Fantastic track. Still haven't heard the new mix. I want to, but I know it's going to be extremely difficult for me having to choose between different versions of the album. I'm already settled on the version we had until now so the changes will probably sound out of place to me
When TLOP "came out", I found out for the first time that TIDAL is available in Israel. That is important, because basically no other global streaming service is available here. The funny thing is, I just learned today that's it's been available here since last April, and I don't think anyone noticed, because no one gives a shit about TIDAL.
Guess Jay better keep extending those free trials if he wants any subscribers.
I think he only produced a couple of songs on that, so you can't really blame him for the whole album. Besides, In the Grace of Your Love wasn't too good either, and it was produced by Phillipe Zdar right after the masterpiece that is Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. So I guess it really has to do most with the band themselves.
They still put on a killer live show at that time, though.
So I've been really busy for the past month or so at work and in life in general, and don't really have much time to listen to music recently. I've been listening to nothing but ATCQ ever since Phife Dawg passed, I have a shit ton of bands I want to check out before Primavera, and I have about 3-4 good weeks of new releases to check out, and now this fucking stacked-as-fuck week? NEW WEEZER, TLOP, YEASAYER, BLACK MOUNTAIN MODERAT and like ten more all in the same fucking day? I think I should just take a sick leave for the next couple of weeks :(
(Also, that new Mind Spiders album from a few weeks back is incredible!)
I haven't heard it yet but I definitely intend to. I for one really liked Fragrant World, and I find it hard to believe I won't like the new one as well
I feel like you on visiting Pitchfork mainly out of habit. Their new site design certainly doesn't help my will to read their content anymore. It honestly makes it a lot harder to read

(This isn't really related in any way, but I always thought that cover/title were hilarious)
I don't hate the adlib part but it didn't add anything to the song really. I just listen to the original version that's on Kanye's Soundcloud - it doesn't have that extended outro and it has some nice vocal thrown in after the verses end. I love it a lot. That version is definitely one of my SOTY so far
Make Believe is terrible. WAAOD is pretty bad but it's one of the only listenable songs on that turd.
You should try Hurley out though. It's honest to god pretty good. Not all of it is, but it has some really good and even great tracks.
Death to False Metal was pretty meh, but it has at least 2 tracks I really like
How do you read that crap now? Why make it so hard to read the news section of your site? Why push the reviews down so low (on mobile especially)? They really think anyone gives a fuck about The Pitch?
