A bit late but I have so many questions. Who the hell is this guy? How the fuck did he get so many amazing musicians on this track? And how the fuck is it so boring?
Also, I think I would associate Meldal-Johnson with NIN or Beck before I would with M83, but maybe just because I'm less familiar with the latter
From the description of the record it sounds like it's going to be very similar to the way I'm In Your Mind Fuzz was structured, which is incredible. That album was so much fun, and personally I think the Gizzards are in their best form when they make those crazy psych-garage jams like this one! Hope to see them live sometime soon, and can't wait for the album!
In the past couple of years there was only one store here that participated in Record Store Day. Not just in my city, but in *the whole country*, which is crazy! And usually they didn't even have anything interesting. Last year the only interesting record they got was mclusky's mcluskyism, which I still really regret not buying.
Anyway, I see that this year we're up to 4 participating stores, so hopefully they don't all just carry the Bieber record and I can get myself that Foals single!
I still buy way too many CDs. Mostly used ones, but still I find myself buying at least a dozen new CDd a year, which is a lot more than I actualy get to listen to. Matter of fact as we speak O jave about 60-70 CDs on my desk that I've yet to listen to (or CDs I already knew before but didn't own and didn't get a chance to organize on my shelf), in addition to about 40 more in another pile somewhere. Recently I started buying a lot more vinyl, but these take more space so I find it easier to stop myself from buying as much. My girlfriend doesn't like any of it.
Dude. Summertime '06 maybe presents itself as a double album, but it's not even an hour long. It could easily fit on one CD. All Eyez on Me is fucking 130+ minutes long, making it an actual double album CD-wise
This is devastating. Seriously, fuck the asshole resposinble for this shit and fuck every asshole making moshpits a violent, aggressive experience for everyone around them. Moshing should, and definitely could, be fun for everyone taking part and even to the ones just hanging around. Some of my favorite and most enjoyable concert experiences involved moshing, crowdsurfing and whatever else, but not once have I tried to involve people who didn't want to be part of the pit. Fuck this.
I was at a The Drums show a few years back (one of the worst shows I've ever been to, but they opened for LCD Soundsystem, so what can you do), and there was a fucking mosh pit going on during "Let's Go Surfing". That song is basically the musical equivalent of lavender soap. It was awful.
Look I'm only at untitled 05 now and I kinda can't accept that there's anything else after this because this might be one of the best songs I've heard all year
Haven't heard it yet but it sounds like a perfect match. It's pretty easy to picture Grimes hanging around Hot Topic on a daily basis as a teenager
(Not meant as an insult. MSI have been a guilty pleasure of mine since I was 13)
Maybe it's premiering on DJ Khaled's Beats Radio show? I mean, he did premier French Montana's mixtape two weeks ago on the show and EVOL two weeks before that. So maybe he's going to keep that track? Pretty cool if so!
Waiting to see exactly if/how Kanye is involved in this
Last year Kendrick's sister said that a Kendrick x J. Cole collab will drop on Feb 16, so it's possible that it would be it! I certainly hope so (well, I don't really care about Cole, but new Kendrick would be fire)
I don't think Oracular is eneven. It's pretty great all around. Obviously the singles are a lot stronger than the rest of it, but there are zero duds on that album, it's packed front to back with some fine as fuck deep cuts (Of Moons, Birds & Monsters being my personal favorite).
I like Congratulations a lot, but it's just not as consistent IMO. Besides, their greatest psych-pop masterpiece is without a dobut "Metanoia". goddamn that song is incredible
Well. Can't speak for anyone else, but I really like this cover for some reason. Maybe I feel less strongly about it because I'm not a big M83 fan (yet). I can understand why most might find it really goofy/WTF-ish, but I think it's pretty funny. I don't get it, but I like it
GODDAMN that bass tone on Capitalized is killing me. Liking this so far, though I think I would have liked it a lot more with some math-rock blended in. Anyhow, this is pretty cool, thanks for giving it a spotlight!
This is just another false flag, all just a part of a larger scheme involving a certain band whose control over the industry is so powerful they can keep staying in the shadows. One might say they are using websites much like the very one we are reading right now to get us... All Mixed Up.

Looks like you were beat to the punch, which is a shame, as you could have had the comment of the week if not for that someone, thatsomeone1. Seriously, that thatsomeone1 is one1 swift bastard.... yeah I'm done
I just heard Roses for the first (and probably last) time now, and c'mon, it's nowhere near the top 10 pop songs of last year. #SELFIE was indeed abysmal, but Roses wasn't much more interesting, just less bad.
That Icona Pop track is really surprisingly great, and this is coming from someone who only took 3 listens to be completely tired of hearing "I Love It". I feel like this could be a track that keeps being fun on every listen.
