Should be noted that this is the first rant we got so far that makes actual sense (there's more of it on twitter, regarding his debt, percieved craziness, want to make the world a better place, etc.)
I wanted to post this much earlier today but work was a bit busy. so here goes anyway:
Look, Ezrin is obviously entitled have to his opinion on Kanye, even if I don't agree with any of it. But dude makes an extreme effort on his Twitter to come off as extremely trollish. You know, like RT'ing everything written about him as if he were Shkreli, or calling people "nigga" multiple times when I'm pretty sure he's a 60-something year old white male. If you want to share your opinions it's cool, but when you act like a racist, ignorant asshole you really don't make your point any stronger, even if you co-produced The Wall.
I don't know anything about French Montana and don't really care to, but damn Shot Caller was great. What a glorious beat.
I really didn't feel that Azealia song though, it got old pretty quick. There was some part there where it started to sound like these Lone-sampling songs she used to make and I liked it way more than the rest of the song.
Also I feel like I have to say again that Aesop Rock's new track is incredible
I kinda feel like that shtick SOPHIE keeps doing in his music really jumped the shark at this point. I was never a big fan to begin with but it's really starting to be uninspiring
S.C.I.E.N.C.E is great, but I really don't think Incubus could be considered nu-metal at all. Not to mention the fact they totally went alt-rock a few years later
The Radiohead part sure didn't help, but she just comes off as extremely insufferable in just about everything she writes. It also completely overshadows her music (which she insists should be more important) which wasn't very good in the first place
I Find is great. Don't really get why it wasn't on the album though, it was only 6 songs with 2 interludes... oh well, at least we got to hear it in some form
OK So this totally caught me off-guard. I remember trying to listen to Teens of Style but not really getting into it, but this just fucking slays. Is anything on Teens of Style as good as this track? I should definitely give it another listen
How are they live? I'm going to see them in Primavera in a few months and I'm pretty psyched about it, but I think my friends who are coming with me wouldn't like their music as much. Could the show convert them?
I liked it a lot! Lying in the Grass has been stuck in my head for longer than I thought it would be.
Did anyone read that awful Quietus review? It was so pretentious and edgy it reminded me of Pitchfork 10 years ago
I've seen UMO live a couple of months ago. didn't really know what to expect but they were pretty damn great! Turns out Ruban is one killer guitar player. The rest of the band were pretty neat too! I think you'll have a fun time
It's finally out here too! Hope to catch it this coming week. They are the best. I just rewatched Big Lebowski some weeks ago and it was as great as ever
I used to like Muse a lot. It's just that every single thing they made since The Resistance is terrible (and The Resistance wasn't too good either).
Origin of Symmetry and Absolution are pretty damn great though
Maladroit is great. Burndt Jamb is easily one of Weezer's greatest songs.
I'm pretty sure I posted the exact same comment around the time EWBAITE came out, it's still true.
