That's the part that confuses me. I assume it's like when creepy Trump supporters refer to him as "Dad".
Deerhunter touring with guys who seem like they actually hunt deer.
OK Computer/Reckoner/"In pitch dark I go walking in your landscape"
I'm having trouble believing it. Sounds like an instagram-filtered, less than one month together breakup song. Yet, it seems over one hundred million people relate to it, so who the fuck am I?
He samples 'Cut Hands - Black Mamba' on this track. Awesome.
more like Love Without Sound...WHITE NOISE!
listening now! Love his passion.
His lawyer is going to be jumping through hoops
The number of copies sold was somewhere between 22 and a million
He also wrote "Death Whispered a Lullaby" on Damnation.
Atrocity Exhibition and Sirens. The kind of great albums I've been hoping for all year.
Well, fuck. Album worthy track right here.
The video for the next single is way better
This shit is too obviously corrupt for Michael Nelson to even bother with.
"Ain't it Funny" is even crazier. What is HAPPENING!
Holy shit "Lost" is fucking insane.
Two artists I've always thought should collaborate. Also, for the record I didn't downvote you. Your opinion does not bother me.
best stereogum headline I've ever seen
One song in. Fucking unreal.
I got my tickets for the Toronto show. The Nymphs series was amazing. Hopefully this is too.
I really like before and after the rap part. Like, really like it. Man, maybe the middle will grow on me. Damn.
Nice, reminiscent of the back half XXX, but lots of new stuff going on.
I really like this album. Interested to hear the previously unreleased tracks.
Personally I prefer Starman... http://i.imgur.com/dpGja.png
I don't know how Wittgenstein, Kripke and Chomsky missed this.
The chapter "At Tikhon's", that was originally censored, is some of the darkest stuff in literature.
I read the Constance Garnett version of Anna Karenina. However, I read the Pevear/Volokhonsky translations of The Brothers Karamazov, The Idiot, and Demons by Dostoevsky and now wish I had read their translation of Anna Karenina as well. In short...I second your recommendation.
Damn. He's never sounded like this before. Album is shaping up!
So you're saying one needs an eagle eye to see the differences....
1. Sad Waters 2. We Came Along This Road 3. Mercy 4. Loom of the Land 5. To Be By Your Side
second time listening Magneto really stands out. The 'Astral Weeks' style chorus and that lyric, "the urge to kill somebody was basically overwhelming".
On my second listen now. Really cohesive album/flows well. I really like "Girl in Amber" and "Rings of Saturn". Those are pretty different sounding songs for him.
perhaps they will give you shelter from the storm
