Slowly working their way to headlines like: "The ten things Pavement don't want you to know about Nigel Godrich"
Dumb move, attacking the guy who beat Shaq.
It's crazy how this is exactly how Mark Kozelek portrays the music industry in song.
I'm on track three and I've laughed out loud four times. Absurd/Comedy version of Benji right here.
whoa, haven't heard from John Talabot since fIN. This is nice.
I haven't really listened since 'Eskimo Snow', but this track and 'This Ole King' are really promising.
Yeah, both really good tracks. 'God of Love' has a pretty cool guitar part towards the end. I like the album cover too.
Holy shit, this album might be their best since 'Romance is Boring' at this rate.
Am I insane to think the title track sounds like an instrumental cover of David Bowie's Lazarus? Either way, both awesome tracks.
Cool. 'Honey' is a really good track.
It's only fans from seven different countries that can't show up wearing scarves. Dishonest Stereogum is misrepresenting this Drakecutive order. SAD!
Well, there is demand. I shouldn't argue my own point with myself. I'm losing it guys.
Yeah, I think music coverage is a huge factor here. I'm surprised at how many new blogs cover the exact same things as Pitchfork and Stereogum, without even trying to have their own voice. It's strange how many people want to be individuals, but only within a narrow range. Perhaps Youtube is the future of music crit/coverage. I dig The Needledrop and Dead End Hip Hop. But I don't know, maybe there just isn't that much demand for variation? I mean Pranav Trewn is posting new music here all the time with zero comments. Poor Dude!
I like this kind of shooting-the-shit style convo. Robin is being diplomatic/optimistic, which is good. It could have easily gone into "Music isn't good anymore!" territory. There's so much legit stuff going on all the time. I agree in 2009 you didn't have to look as hard to find it (in most cases), but I think people give up too easily on the search. That's what music is all about! As for this class system talk about music. I think when that set of "celebrities" came out on stage for Tidal, that was the closest music has come to looking like some party of elites. Luckily we've seen it immediately fail. Whereas Bandcamp seems to be doing better. But who really knows?
Sweet. Excited for this.
I've been really digging this artist lately. I really like 'The Dreamer'. Spinning that one at all, Chris?
I guess someone threw a monkey wrench into the plans
Is anyone else sick of sight without a sense of feeling?
I'm liking the new stuff. I hope "Hell to the Liars" makes it on the album. Not sure why I'm so drawn to this group when I usually don't go for this kind of stuff.

"Of course, expert political analyst and Trump supporter Azealia Banks" Stereogum's signature bit gets me every fucking time! Also, not only is this ban horrible, but the fact that this government is ignoring laws/courts is like some regime level shit.
I wonder if he'll collaborate with Interpol

This is cool. The glitched-out riffs are great.
Their most Canadian album yet?
damn. I fucked up worse than this lineup

Yeah, this is great.
And so continues their never-ending run of great albums
The Left (which I consider myself part of) doesn't really engage in comedy lately. It's all about lecturing the public, think-pieces, and taking itself insanely seriously. I remember someone on this site called SNL 'A right wing show' and they were dead serious about it. That being said, I don't think we should take important social issues lightly. But at the same time, don't take yourself too seriously. THAT being said, I like that 'dylsmack' has a James Baldwin profile pic. One of the greatest authors ever.
Sweet. It's got a Ribs Out vibe to it, eh?
