We hate them too — every couple of months I beg the sales team if we can get rid of it. 😞 But also lol: https://twitter.com/perryfarrell/status/1026845902873526274
I liked this too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyzPcw4ZnLE And I'm no big GGD fan but I think it's always interesting to ask a band to look back at their huge hit so Cokeparty can CHILLAX!
also it was cool to hear 2 seconds of "No Aloha" in 'Better Call Saul' on Monday
It does. https://uproxx.com/tv/the-muse-for-the-goo-goo-dolls-song-name-former-mtv-vj-kennedy/
Paul is dead (to me) https://twitter.com/Billy_Bell99/status/1041265402322534402
Also I met Manson around this time when I randomly saw him walking with a friend in Times Sq. Surreal.
Also liked his “Golden Years” cover from this era. From the ‘Dead Man On Campus’ OST IIRC.

it is all me (and we don't have meetings for anything. fuck meetings.)
Lil Xan is our new lodestar BONG
just read about that 10 seconds ago! but yeah, what David Nathan Williams says above
Hate sitcoms but I love failed sitcom intros 😎
Oh and I first learned about this song from my parents’ Big Chill soundtrack tape. What a great soundtrack.
IIRC Step By Step followed Family Matters which in its first season had a theme song from a different column: https://www.stereogum.com/1967882/gotcha-covered-what-a-wonderful-world/franchises/gotcha-covered/ I watched A LOT of sitcoms in the ‘80s and loathe the format now. I think they’re all terrible.

I know every word to this album
The 'MTV Unplugged Collection, Volume One' comp (which is pretty good!) had Paul doing this song and restarting it after messing up. I listened to that CD so much I can never hear this song now without expecting that to happen five seconds in. https://youtu.be/kYqIoHf-wgU?t=27s
It came from her Facebook post. (It is a Facebook post, not an article.) And if she has an issue with her public social media post being quoted (after it was quoted in full in a very popular Reddit post) all she has to do is email us and ask to not be quoted.
I already explained we did not know she was a music writer.
What are you talking about? She's clearly credited in the post. How is it any different than something like this: https://www.stereogum.com/1902853/radiohead-fan-shares-cool-story-about-meeting-the-band-in-an-austin-synth-shop-over-the-weekend/news/ This community clearly agreed we didn't do anything wrong. And honestly if she'd emailed us and explained she was a music writer and could we link out to her post instead we would have. "offer her a book deal"?
IIRC they were nominated for a Grammy for their performance of it on Conan. R.I.P. music on Conan!

This remind anyone else of Springsteen's "Secret Garden"?

Yeah, same. This is super up my alley but I haven't watched any yet.
