As someone who was, unfortunately, on Tumblr quite a bit around that same period, this kind of stuff wasn't remotely uncommon. Tumblr was a total cesspool of edgelord crap back in the early 2010's.
This is just really off base though. It is true of some of her newest album but her first two albums have all that hallmarks of "traditional country music"
Considering the ubiquity of reggaeton in Latino culture, especially here in the States, it is a pretty stunning omission. That being said, this is still the Grammys so its actually the least surprising thing I've read in some time.
Great song but I can't help but chuckle at the deep voiced narration at the start and imagine that people at one point could actually take that very seriously as being very sexy.
At the show I saw we got Hannah Hunt but none of the rest, all of which I would have loved.
I think the song I was most surprised to hear was either "Campus" or "I Stand Corrected", both of which were awesome.
Just to echo what others have said, I saw them in Dallas a few weeks ago and they were absolutely incredible. Even better than when I saw them on the Contra tour, which was also incredible. Would highly highly recommend.
Fake Problems might be one of the more underrated bands of the late 2000's and early 2010's. They kind of straddled this weird line between the Warped Tour scene and the Pitchfork scene and never got embraced by either.
