Still keep going back to this album...has not left my top 5 for 2016, so far. Even sounds better now that the weather is warming up.
That article read like the opening scene from Magnolia...."This was not a matter of chance...oh, these strange things happen all the time."
Ha! Well, actually I have before, and it was at that moment I promised myself to stop taking drugs. I've actually seen these guys in Boston before. They're quite mad, you know...happy to see they're still goin at it..
Reading this, seeing them in gorilla costumes and listening to this song, one must ask...when is it time for some bands to simply know when they've taken too many drugs.
This would be better if that guy would just stop rappin'..
I've always wished 'Bermuda Highway' was on this...it just fits this one for some reason, but still, its by far the best example of how good this band is, hands down. If you have this and "At Dawn," then you basically have all you need...
Troy will always be on my top 10 of all time. It is perfection.
BTW Bloc...that Nothing CD is so much fun...props.
That reminds me...how friggin good was "black boys on mopeds?" Good to hear she may be OK
This gif is even better when you watch it while listening to the song
I hope she extends her rant to Instagram and it results in further isolating her to a point where her 'voice' becomes more and more difficult to spread like the vile weed she is. This stupid idiot will walk herself right into anonymity if we're lucky enough to watch her take the bait.
And Prince continues to inspire....
The long shot in Magnolia of the kid walking into the TV studio with his dad is a classic Altman nod and as close to perfection film can get. Also worth noting that is was the last good role Cruise landed.
Sorry, but I gotta go with the scene of Aimee Mann's 'Wise Up' from Magnolia.
I agree....but for a artist to gauge their level of attention and make demands is not fair to your fans. You chose this "fate" so therefore you need to accept what comes with it.
I have decided about this incredible album...it's Radiohead's Dark Side of the Moon. Its an album that won't really be appreciated until you fully understand its place in their discography. It cannot be processed today. it is a beautiful complement to their catalog.
But, you are a zoo animal, Justin. You created that mantra with your committment to being a pop star and you asinine actions. You want to be respected and treated like a celebrity with morals, than act like it.
Eagles of Deaf Metal. Sorry, couldn't resist.
Your description is spot on...love the sunken ship-bottom of the sea-ghost of Radiohead thing ya got working there. How ironic that to a Radiohead listener, its exactly what we were hoping it'd be. It's about as immersive an album get.
They gave KoL a 7.9....In Rainbows a 9.3. You the judge...this is by far better than both
Uh yeah...mom? Sorry, um, somethings...uhhh...come up.
Picture yourself floating on your back in crystal blue water as quiet, steady waves wash up, over and around you. Sometimes you'll hear birds and sometimes you'll just hear the water rolling as it gently slaps against you. You are able to breathe above or below the surface of the water the whole time. Every once in a awhile a soft current will take you down a smooth pathway then slow up as you return to drifting. And oh yeah, the warm sun is always above you. Now go giver another listen...
Is Thom looking for Morgan Freeman? I swear I saw that same garage in Bruce Almighty.
Kill a good thing with a video of good things that will also be on a soundtrack for a kid's animated movie? Cheer up, kid.
Way too much going on in music this week, especially today. I feel like the first person allowed into Walmart on black friday
If anything, we can realize from 'Burn the Witch' that Radioheads direction continues to be to the softer, more orchestral side than pre KoL. Was kinda hoping for a more "There There' type first single, but still, this start to LP9 is still brilliantly layered in ways that surface after repeat listens like Identikit and Spectre...a trait that has always followed them. It doesn't seem as simple and straightforward as their recent efforts but nonetheless I think we can all rest at ease knowing all seems just as crisp as ever with them.
Concept album with each video representing the tracks? Strung together it'll eventually create a story. Either that or it's just a really fucked up Bob the Builder episode..
Great pick Bloc...Ryan Adams meets Meatloaf. This guy must of really liked Velvet Goldmine.
And now all the moms in the world will be wondering why Drake keeps popping up on their Celine Dion Pandora station.
or AOTY...either way, you'll play it to death
So we're now basing judgement on track lists before actually hearing the music? What is this, a LDR album?
This album can't get here fast enough
This is devastating news for me. He was at the top of my list and is a loss that will only hurt more as I revisit his life and music over time
Ha! I know, I know...but their singles just have that ferocious, pounding energy which feel like they're always about to gloriously unravel at any point.
So far I'm getting the feeling White Lung may sound like an album filled with every song sounding as insanely great as The Rat.
Miller standing there in that pic with hands up in front of a blanket littered with marketing propaganda is priceless irony. Good for you, Joker...this event should be a celebration not a cash grab, but unfortunately in this day and age there are too many greedy hands turning it all into a Hard Rock Cafe with shitty burgers.
