I'm all for anyones stand with issues that misrepresent our country and the fight to dismantle our current president, but it seems to me that every time someone throws their arms up in the air and takes action, it just ends up being wasted time, energy and sometimes money which is sad. Unfortunately, we all just need to wait until the election and then we can put a different dipshit in the office.
But good luck Neil...I'll just be over the corner rooting for ya while I continue to shake my head in disbelief.
There are two roads this will go....one will be supportive psychiatric help where he finds a place far away from attention aside from loved ones for awhile, or the other, which, well, most certainly will not end well. There are way too many chainsaws being juggled for Option B to even remotely create any asseblence of hope or balance.
I mean, he's tweeting to the world his bipolar episodes, which frankly are sad and very sobering, and he lives in an envoirnment that has a film crew at their bedside when they wake up, and you're asking people to leave them alone? By who?
I am diehard Stones, but if you want to break down a nearly perfect guitar resume and the albums that led up to Houses (Zepplin, II, II, IV) I'm not sure its even close for debate. Styles are enourmously different anyway.
While you may be right that it was relatively eloquent and apologetic, the words 'don't agree' together in any context with this subject, should never be included in a statement, merely based on perception.
Note toyourself, maybe you shouldn't criticize a writers slant. Don't poke the bear. welcome to Stereogum

Chris Mars also had a fantastic solo album...Horeshoes and Hand Grenades.
Not sure I get the rub with any who literally disliked them, maybe you just did't grow up through it, but they personified rock and roll during a time where rock was labeled dead, and they just kept defiantly chugging against the grain with zero apology. Yeah their ablums were scattered at times but never once did they give in, which is why their early 80's run belongs with the best of anyone. Westerberg was actually the one that threw his hands up and left to the pop(ish) side, but that band fought til their fingers bled on their strings right til the end.
This was their first album that vaulted them into popularity and ultimately (after Dont Tell a Soul) was the beginning of the end for them. Both the pinnacle. For anyone , its gotta be that Tim, Let it Be and Hootenanny run. This was such a great band.
'Few Words for the Firing Squad' should be a pick merely because unfortunately its one of the many important feelings we've had to cope with this year. It should be remembered for its timing. I do two playlists every summer and this one closes out part 1.
There have been plenty of musicians that have maybe paved new alleys or conjured up a 'new' sound or angle which may come across as innovative or maybe a redefined sound, but it always comes back to influence and their own roots according to their artistic feel. To knock down anyone who takes from something past and and uses it to make their sound is sorta ridiculous.
I watched it and it only made me wish I had seen it live, but no thanks. It's good, its long. I think its hysterical that Miranda agreeing with the latest rub against the slave argument saying, "Its valid" is priceless. Think what you want, itsa must see.
I mean, we are talking about Great White here, but still you are correct. Think the arrow is only pointing at them based on history, but still, stories like this need to continue to be promoted. Its no different than the dipshit Chase Rices show and the fools that attended that as well. It's sad but we need to keep pointing canons at these things, and with enough continued attention on these morons, it can help fight the battle.
Concerts need to stop.
I believe Rajneesh didn't make the week cut, at least that's what I'm hoping, but it's the better of the two yes. Someone had said ignorantly that after the first third, it had too much vocoder and not melodic which is absolutely ridick...it only gets better as it goes along in a way only a sufjan sang can go...this album is going be a monster.
By far their best. Coldplays inevitable and meteoric rise after this made this album not only more intimate, but feel smaller and smaller with each of the bands subsequent releases.
Yeah I have no idea what some here are expecting here with these guys. Whats wrong with dependable? Pretty tiring to hear anything negative related to this band. There's not many bands that do what they do so well...a talented indie band that can still walk the line between alternative darling and overrated radio pop.
I've watch bands like Decemberists for example, start so great then blend into the fold....these guys just stay the course, and its glorious every time.
