Astral L.A. noise-dance crew HEALTH have an interesting new gig: They’re the party responsible for scoring the heavily advertised new video game Max Payne 3. We’ve already heard a bit of their music in a TV commercial for the game, but now we’ve got a whole new song from them. It’s a churning, atmospheric piece called “Tears” that fits nicely with the slow-motion blood-streaked noir of those Max Payne games. Stream it below.
Max Payne 3 is out today, via Rockstar Games. Hopefully it won’t have a dream-sequence level where you have to balance on an invisible red line while screaming-baby sound effects play on a loop; that thing stopped me cold when I was playing the first game.
