The lo-fi R&B adventurer Tom Krell, who records as How To Dress Well, just announced that he’ll release the sophomore album Total Loss later this year. And he’s shared one track from it: An utterly beguiling and affecting slow-motion swoon called “Ocean Floor For Everything.” If this song is any indication, the album could really be something special. You know that feeling where you hear a song for the first time and you just know it’ll soundtrack some tearjerking montage in a movie in maybe three years? Yeah. This is that. Download it below.

Total Loss is due in September from Acéphale.

Hmm, I wasn’t expecting much but this is actually a really great new track.
I’m very much enjoying the pronounced vocals here. Drizzy, The Weeknd — You guys owe this guy big time for your sound styles and I’m glad he’s managed to stay one step ahead of you with this new one.
The beat comes out of NOWHERE.
