The bucolic L.A. country-rock band Beachwood Sparks, whose early-’00s records on Sub Pop presaged the success of Fleet Foxes by nearly a decade, are back together again and about to release a new album called Tarnished Gold on their old label. We’ve already heard the early track “Forget The Song.” And below, you can download the slow-winding album cut “Sparks Fly Again” — a song title that just makes sense, considering.
Tarnished Gold is out 6/26 on Sub Pop.

Beautiful and uplifting. So glad they’re back and sounding better than ever.
Their debut was one of my favs of the last decade – this new one sounds like its shaping up to be just as good!
