Last week, slinky techno auteur Matthew Dear announced a new album called Beams and debuted his excellent new single “Her Fantasy.” Yesterday, the actual “Her Fantasy” single came out, and it included another non-album track as a B-side. “Crimewaves” is an example of the sort of honking, sexed-up dance-pop that Dear built his last album, Black City, from. The “Her Fantasy” single is out now on Ghostly. Beams is out 7/28.
