Crowd surfing, stage diving, a circle pit, smashed instruments and shattered eardrums all occurred when A Place To Bury Strangers stopped by the Echoplex in Los Angeles. Their third album Worship is due to be released on 6/26 on Dead Oceans. This Will Destroy You were also on the bill with their undulating waves of instrumental noise. Check out the noisy photos above and the setlist below.

the photos turned out great! you captured the feel of the show beautifully
Thanks Maggie!
Someone must’ve left before the end. There was an encore after “Ocean” (much to my surprise – “Ocean” is the de-facto killer set closer track of all-time).
I mean, sure, this will destroy you, but that’s okay because there is a place to bury strangers.
I was at at that show and This Will Destroy You suddenly became my new favorite band. Strangers were great and when they lifted up their instruments and did their criss cross of bass and guitar, it could have been spinal tap but it was epic. Truly a great show.
this will destroy you killed it that night, didn’t they? my 2nd time seeing them and certainly the best.
check out the live soundboard recording i did a couple years ago.
