Last night during Saturday Night Live, a strange 15-second commercial aired featuring what is probably a new Daft Punk song. The commercial displayed the above graphic, a new Daft Punk logo that the band released when announcing their deal with Columbia Records. This follows news that Daft Punk’s next record is out sometime in 2013 via Columbia, the follow up the 2005′s Human After All. Check out the clip below.

I will be listening to this 15 second piece on repeat for the rest of the day. Thank You.
Here’s the clip looping for two minutes, for those who don’t want to click play repeatedly.

that is so great.
The day just ended where I live, and I listened to it all day indeed.
15 seconds of new Daft Punk is better than the entirety of Skrillex’s work.
Zing!!!!!!!!!!
I fully expect that filthydubber –– in all his shirtless, indignant, bass-drop-loving glory –– will appear in these comments soon to address this Skrillexaphobic comment with homophobic slurs a-blazin’. Kids these days.

Hey, with assholes like you around, who needs well-thought out insults?
Sounds like Jamiroquai, should be interesting.
On. Repeat.
I heard a genuine rumour that the album is 100% organic. No computers or owt, all the instruments were actually played by the guys themselves. Hope there’s at least a bit of lovely vocoder in there though. Supposedly out in May.
I also want to post this picture. So fucking classy, man…

I doubt it’ll happen, but I really hope this new album sees the return Charles. I want to know what the dog man’s been up to.
Is this the musical equivalent of playing a little game of Just The Tip?
That’s actually a part of a new Daft Punk song? When I watched the 15 second video last night, I just assumed it was the SNL house band playing…whenever a musical guest is about to play, during the preceding commercials they always show the band for a few seconds with almost that exact song playing. Hmm.
Lets hope its as good as “Human After All”
