It’s definitely a party anthem. Probably his best shot at a mainstream hit given the lyrics. Can’t say I like it immediately but it took Sound of Silver a while to grow on me.

“Drunk girls are abhorrently wild” that could possible be the best line ever, if that is what he says it’s kind of hazy.
Great single, I hope like Sound Of Silver there will be a couple of obvious singles surrounded by a really brilliant serious album.
Looks like we’re getting more Bowie, and a touch of Mr. Wilson on this LP.
