The Places Between: The Best of Doves comes out next week (April 20 in the U.S.), and it has three new songs among its 33 tracks. New single “Andalucia” is a climbing Britpop song equally invested in the melancholy comedown — meaning, it doesn’t stray too far from past Doves material.

As soon as I saw the title though, I was reminded of Pixies’ Debaser….
This song is really really good. Doves know how to write a great tune. I don’t know how I feel about “greatest hits” albums though.
