Following last week’s “Guns In The Sky,” Beck’s Record Club (it’s like a book club, but cooler) tackles the second track on Kick all quiet-like.

Next up: “Devil Inside,” then “Need You Tonight.”

  1. Every installment of the Record Club makes it seem more and more like the best thing since the Take Away Shows, and it’s great to see them abandoning the obnoxious B&W pixelation of the Velvet Underground and Skip Spence sessions.

  2. Yes, these are great. looking forward to “devil inside”. I would love to be in on these sessions, why didn’t Beck invite me to join his record club?

  3. I love Beck, anyway the first part of the video with the keyboard playing was very cool!

  4. Too cool. Obviously ‘Kick’ was a good choice of albums simply because it wan’t an obvious choice at all. Great job Beck, Angus, et al!

  5. I’m loving everything about this so far. Can’t wait to see what they do with “Tiny Daggers”.

  6. I am in love with this project and everyone involved. This is so fantastic!

  7. you had me at annie clark

  8. what a great idea. Seems like a really hesitant performance though, like everyone is a bit unsure if they should be there and what to do. Even though sonically it comes off great.

  9. Wow this is really, really great. The whole Record Club is a cool idea, and it’s nice to see them pull it off so well. I didn’t think I would like this as much as I do!

  10. I feel like Beck is one of the most important musicians of our time. A chameleon he is. From ’93 to these Record Club recordings, his contributions always keep my interest.

One Foot in the Grave – Odelay – Midnite Vultures – Sea Change – The Information – Record Club – that’s quite a breadth of style and sound

  11. 4:05 is like the coolest second ever.
