Beach House - "I Do Not Care For The Winter Sun"

‘Tis the season for too many sentences that begin “’tis the season,” but everyone’s allowed at least one of those a year, so ’tis the season of the steady onslaught of hype machine-baiting holiday tracks. Everyone’s allowed at least one of those a year, although if you put out one of the increasingly consensus Top 5 LP of 2010, your holiday track not only deserves its own post, but also even the promise of subsequent revisions and new cameos. So until Beach House leaks a fresher version with new verses by members of their frientourage like Jana Hunter or Ed Droste, here’s their just-released, jingle-belled and heavy-lidded seasonal treat “I Do Not Care For The Winter Sun.” It’s all that matters this time of year, as they say:

  2. New Beach House–just what I wanted for Christmas, how did you know?

  3. As a rule, I hate holiday singles (hear that Brandon Flowers?! Just stop.) But Beach house is the exception to my rule, this year:
