Brahms by Shawn Brackbill

Here’s a new single from Brooklyn BTW BRAHMS, stopping the gap between the four-track demo EP and sundy remixes that marked their arrival and the promised full-length due later this year. “Add It Up” is side A of a forthcoming 7″, veering away from the manicured new wave pop of their signature earworm “Brought It Out” and into icier, though no less melodic, synth-centered territory. Cale Parks’s rhythmic acumen still finds gaps within which to fill and flourish, though those moments are understated shading for a song that has more in common with M83 than Aloha.

If you’re catching up, here’s “Brought It Out”:

Expect a full-length this year.
