True Widow - As High As The Highest...

Self-described Dallas, Texas “stonegaze” trio True Widow are reminiscent of a heavier Low or a slightly speedier, Southern take on ’90s NYC slowcore stalwarts Codeine. Their moody, sturdy second album As High As The Highest Heavens And From The Center To The Circumference Of The Earth isn’t out until March, but goes very well with all this January snow. Take a listen to one of a handful of hushed easy-on-the-ears standouts, “Skull Eyes.” Somehow these dudes and lady make well-defined bass, tasteful drums/guitars, and sleepy voices very compelling.

As High As The Highest Heavens And From The Center To The Circumference Of The Earth is out 3/29 via Kemado.
