Navigating their way down the coast of California, Interpol dropped down to San Diego bringing along School of Seven Bells for a mesmerizing light show and sheets of noise. Interpol will wrap up their tour in Boston before crossing the pond for some European dates and winding back to appear at Coachella.

it is 2011. why are they still a band? didn’t they last put out decent music on their second album, and wasn’t that in 2004? let’s hear it for 7 more years of being an irrelevant shell of your former self (the “indie” weezer?)
My guess is that Interpol is still a band because there are still people who want to see them play. Probably the same people who think the band is still making worthwhile music. Don’t like it? Don’t buy a ticket.
