02 “Cloisonné”
03 “Never Knew Love”
04 “Old Pine Box”
05 “Judy is Your Viet Nam”

07 “In Fact”
08 “You Don’t Like Me”
09 “2028″
10 “Let Your Hair Hang Down”
11 “Three Might Be Duende”
12 “When Will You Die?”
13 “The Lady and the Tiger”

“Of course, opener ‘Can’t Keep Johnny Down’ is still plenty suitable for Junior, too.”
Eh, not really.
I’m really looking forward to this album. The Else was pretty disappointing to me.
You don’t think kids would be into this?
Oh yeah, totally. I just don’t know if it’s “appropriate” for young ones.
Yeah, I think a song about a bitter, rage-filled misanthrope might be a little less appropriate for the kiddies than “D Is For Drums.” Especially when it starts with “All of the dicks in this dick town can’t keep Johnny down.”
That said, I love this song, and am really looking forward to the new album.
You have a point. I’m probably thinking in terms of my own kid, who’s too young to talk, pays no attention to lyrics.
A dick can be a detective or an alternative for the name Richard. Either way I’m glad to see a new album from TMBG’s. Bravo.
So which of the Johns is the Johnny that will not be kept down? Or maybe they’re referring to their collective John-ness?
They don’t do autobiographical songs so it’s probably neither. I’m sure it’s just a placeholder kinda name.
For the love of Pete, if you’re going to embed a track to play, at least use something that has volume controls available. This isn’t the only place I’ve run into that lately, and it’s annoying as heck.
@vonpookie I also thought there was no volume control on here, but then saw (hovering my mouse over it frantically!) that it explains you just need to hold down “control” on your keyboard and use your up/down arrows to control the volume. It works for me, hope it will for you all too. Love the new track and am really hoping “Join Us” is going to overwhelm all we longterm TMBG lovers with joy and all anticipated life-enhancement! Warmest wishes
Sorry! I meant press “Shift”, then arrow keys, NOT “control”! Doh! Apologies!
