
When posting Copenhagen quartet Iceage’s “Collapse” and “New Brigade” — and again when including them in 18 Dark Bands To Watch — I mentioned that the young Gravity-nodding no-wave-infused post-anarcho-punk crew’s self-titled debut was one of my favorite albums of 2011, a record that bursts through a dozen songs in under 25 minutes, nailing a particular aesthetic I didn’t realize had so much life left in it. Here’s “White Rune,” one of its many standouts.
New Brigade is out in the US 6/21 via What’s Your Rupture?. It’s out now in the States as a limited-edition LP via Dais.
