As you can see from the album art above, the Black Keys are in good company on this tribute CD. The duo covered “(Ummm, Oh Yeah) Dearest” a song that appeared on the Juno soundtrack, and has been featured on a few posthumous Buddy Holly compilations. Check out Black Keys’ easygoing take below:
Rave On Buddy Holly is out 6/28 via Fantasy/Concord.

Pretty good line-up of artists they have.
All respectable artists. Oh wait, how did Kid Rock slip into that line-up?
My thought exactly.
Damnit. For some reason, when I saw the title saying the black keys cover Buddy Holly, I thought it was them covering the Weezer song. Now that you’ve confused me and I was expecting something that, can they please actually cover the song now? haha
Only artist missing is Marshall Crenshaw!!! Perhaps if they did a volume 2??
There are a lot of terrible artist on there. There are some okay ones though and like one or two good ones.
