
A couple of nights ago (5/9), Zach Condon and band, who we last saw covering Caetano Veloso, performed two new songs at Norfolk, Virginia’s the NorVa. It was the first night of their current tour. One of the tracks is called “Sante Fe,” after Condon’s birthplace/pre-Brooklyn home. The other’s untitled, at least to us. Listen:

Wow, something signficant related to indie rock happened near my old hometown, Chesapeake, VA. Usually indie rock bands avoid the Tidewater area altogether. I think the last great show there was Skywave, which I believe would have been 2003.
