The Strokes were on Jools Holland last night, and they played “Under Cover Of Darkness” and “Taken For A Fool” for the audience in the shadows. One thing to note: Julian Casablancas playfully covers Albert Hammond, Jr.’s eyes for part of “Under Cover Of Darkness.” Wild Beasts were on the same episode, they did Smother‘s “Bed Of Nails” with some additional female harmony/keyboards. The auxiliary Wild Beast is Katie Harkin, usually frontwoman of Sky Larkin – she’s joined them live for their recent UK tour and AFAIK for the near future.
Thanks!
Jools Holland always has the best-filmed live performances
Cor, that Wild Beasts song sounds great, I love the addition of the harmonies at the end of the track… Superb.
