The Less You Know, The Better, the long-gestating new album from veteran turntable traveler DJ Shadow, comes with a long, weird, and weirdly impressive list of collaborators: Talib Kweli, Little Dragon, De La Soul’s Posdnous, and, on “I’m Excited“, Afrikan Boy. Another guest on the album is British dance-rocker Tom Vek, and his track, “Warning Call,” is way more Vek than Shadow. It’s a brooding post-Interpol skitter, and I didn’t hear a single vinyl-scratch sound effect on it. Listen below.
