Theo Anthony directs this clip for Wise Blood’s dark pop track “Nosferatu,” and the result is a druggy, hypnotic video that features the protagonist lurking in a dreamlike state. Also, there’s a creepy-as-fuck old man mask wading through the mist. And once you pile in the referential aspects of Chris Laufman’s project — the nod to Flannery O’Conner’s gothic debut novel Wise Blood as well as the obvious evoking of all that vampire stuff — it makes the clip seem even eerier.
