Justin Vernon and some key folks from Bon Iver are participating in an ad campaign for Bushmills whiskey. Their “Since Way Back” campaign also features people like Chromeo, Theophilus London, and Elijah Wood.
According to a press release, the people participating in the campaign will appear in ads and develop “custom pieces of music and art,” so I guess we’ll see what that means. The campaign is built around “the lives and brotherly relationships of artists and influencers across the world.”

These ads have been up in the subway platforms for months. Wonder why they’re just rolling out the press push now.
I’m tempted to quote Justin Vernon on himself:
“the dollars, if they ARE apart of why you are doing something… they are apart of why you are doing something. that’s fucked to me. that’s the absence of spirit, glue, fabric of what makes us a person. it distracts us from what we could be doing: WORK. on EARTH. Better say this: Forget what I say. If you even read this, you’ll probably say to yourself, who is this ass saying shit? It doesn’t matter what i say. it doesn’t matter, it doesn’t matter. But this one last thought: What would Bill Hicks say?”
Is 5 years way back ?
One can’t have a brotherly relationship with women? I have brotherly relationship with my sister, and she’s an artist to boot!
