Last night, Mastodon, in all their swamp-creature glory, stopped by the Late Show With David Letterman to perform “Curl Of The Burl,” the single from their new album The Hunter. And yes, Dave did manage to come up with a pretty great closing joke. Watch it all unfold below.

Letterman thinks he’s so darn funny.
Although, I will give him credit for being a good sport with the bands/artists who play on his show.
