The day has finally come. Beyoncé’s video for the best song on her sterling 4, and maybe even the best song of the whole damn year, has arrived after a torturous web-clock countdown (to “Countdown.” Fun!). Judging by the teaser they put out last week, it has potential to be the most electric Beyoncé video since the immortal classic “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” video. Deep breath. Let’s do this together.
The clip was directed by Adria Petty, who is — yep — Tom Petty’s daughter.
4 is out now on Sony.

I dont think this is the official final edit. There were a few edit mistakes in the video (during the multiple beyonces, 2nd chorus) the video one on Beyonce’s site and MTV have it corrected. I do like the video overall though.
I’m just gonna have this play on a loop for the rest of my life…
Also, seriously watch that zoetrope. It’s a mindblower.
Looks like Adria Petty and Beyoncé love the contemporary dance film “Rosas danst Rosas” by A.T. De Keersmaeker and Thierry De Mey. It seems that the moves in the countdown video are pretty identical to the original by De Keermaeker..Beyonce’s people should have known better!
