Lateef The Truthspeaker is half of the great underground rap duo Latyrx and part of the Solesides crew, the great late ’90s Bay Area underground rap stable that also introduced the world to DJ Shadow and Blackalicious. Back in the day, is baroquely wordy under-the-breath delivery blew a lot of minds.

Lateef has a new album called FireWire coming out, and now he’s got a new mixtape called Truth At Sea, which you can download below. The 40-minute tape exists as a single unbroken mp3, and it features guest appearances from Lateef’s Latryx partner Lyrics Born, Atmosphere frontman Slug, Rogue Wave’s Zach Rogue, and, in a drop, Saturday Night Live cast member Fred Armisen.
