In Norwegian popsters Datarock’s new video for “California,” a haggard young office functionary disguises himself via red sweatsuit and oversized shades and becomes some sort of freestyle-walking dervish, eventually finding himself at an open-air Datarock show. Someone should let this guy know: Certain neighborhoods in L.A., it’s not a great idea to wear all red. Andreas Trolf co-directs alongside music-video legend and Devo collaborator Gerald V. Casale.
