You have to be out of your goddam mind to cover “November Rain,” Guns N’ Roses’ masterpiece of bloated excess, and Leslie Feist is apparently crazier than anyone gave her credit for being. At a recent Mexico City show, Feist didn’t just cover the song — she invited someone dressed as Slash onstage to play the climactic solo while she and a friend demolished an onstage piñata. It was an impressive display of nuttiness, and you can watch video of it below.

Of course, if Feist was really that intent on recreating “November Rain,” she would’ve left the piñata alone and instead inexplicably dove head-first through a wedding cake. In any case, Metals is out now on Interscope and available at eMusic.

irony in music is never quite right
if this is wrong i dont wanna be right
don’t worry, you’re not.
why? what’s so sacred about it?
I don’t find it amusing or funny. What’s the point in ending a good show -assuming it was- on this note?
I don’t want comedy on a music show.
