Bjork - Biophilia

Björk has just announced a ten-night New York City extravaganza around her multi-format song-cycle Biophilia. This will probably be substantially similar to the David Attenborough-narrated/24-member female choir and custom instrument-featuring stage show we saw in Iceland, which is to say: this is extremely good news and please buy a ticket as soon as possible. (Tickets go on sale 1/13 at 10AM on Ticketmaster.com.) B’s doing six nights at the hands-on museum New York Hall Of Science (February 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18), and four at Roseland Ballroom (February 22, 25, 28, and March 2). In addition, the Creators Project is powering a three-week interactive exhibit at the NYHOS with Björk’s songs as the basis for mutli-media experimentation via spatial installations and the album’s iPad app and other high-concept nerdery. Take the kids!

There are more details on Björk’s NYC stint here.

  1. All partons will be provided with tuning forks. No need to bring your own from home.

  2. geez can’t just be grateful to get to see her? i mean…who cares how much does it cost.

    • Just making a joke! Though in all fairness, how much is costs *can* influence whether or not someone can afford to go (seriously, $75 for a ticket is waaay out of my price range right now).
