UK electro stylemasher SBTRKT took to BBC 1 Live Lounge today to premiere a cover of Friendly Fires’ “Blue Casette.” SBTRKT also played his own “Hold On” from SBTRKT. Frequent SBTRKT collaborator Sampha’s here singing on both. Check ‘em after the jump.
According to Australia’s triple j, SBTRKT and Friendly Fires will collaborate for each of their respective, upcoming albums.

I agree. I really like SBTRKT, but that cover was appallingly bad. I don’t know who those people texting in to radio one saying how amazing it was were. Perhaps they were fictional, or maybe just musically inept.
The last two minutes of this mix grooved the hardest and make the track o.k.
I wouldn’t call the remix bad, I think the song chosen for remixing could have been a better choice
seriously guys could you have done better live? awesome singing for a live performance to me.
