Dave Harrington Launches 12 Days Of Remixes, Announces 2nd Holiday Spectacular Concert
Up until last year, Dave Harrington was half of the great duo Darkside, alongside Nicolas Jaar. Since that group broke up, he’s stayed plenty busy on his own, and he’s got a lot of things planned for this holiday season. As Pitchfork reports, he’ll spend the first 12 days of December dropping one remix per day as part of his 12 Days Of Remixes series. He’s planning on remixing people like Beyoncé, Steve Reich, and Empress Of. The first remix he’s shared is a weightless take on Michael Jackson’s deathless ballad “Human Nature,” and you can hear that below. And as soon as that’s done, Harrington will stage his second annual Dave Harrington & Friends Holiday Spectacular show at New York’s Le Poisson Rouge. The show will include opening remarks from Richard Hell and appearances from members of groups like the Antlers, Dirty Projectors, Tanlines, Yeasayer, Bear In Heaven, and A Place To Bury Strangers.
