The United States Court Of Appeals For The Federal Circuit — aka the Fed. Cir. or the C.A.F.C. — is an appellate court that has jurisdiction over a broad selection of federal cases including government contracts, international trade, trademarks, patents, federal employee benefits, and other matters of the sort. For some reason, the Federal Circuit now has a theme song, which was unveiled during a judicial conference last week and uploaded to the court's official YouTube channel with no description and comments turned off.
The song and video are a bastardization of Schoolhouse Rock that is pretty clearly AI slop — the clip opens with a monkey riding a rocket, and closes with a shot of the cartoon judges waving around glow sticks under a disco ball. Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush get nods. Its lyrics conveniently remind us how the judges come into power: "The president picks, that’s how it’s done/ Then the Senate confirms each one/ They serve for life to stay independent and fair." Interesting!
