Following the pretty but relatively pared down electro-acoustic tunes of their debut The Throne of the Third Heaven of the Nations' Millennium General Assembly, seven-member BTW Le Loup are taking their album title and sounds in different directions: a pithier LP name (Family), and according to the press release trumpeting its arrival, a slightly expanded, more band-oriented sound. Lead MP3 "Beach Town" certainly sounds more organic, full with a humid jungle groove and bassline, polyrhythmic hand drums, with electronics, faraway vocal hollers, and ascending guitar lines giving it all a sense of ambiance, lilt, and lift. Musky.
