The Lemonheads, The Shining Twins, Street Chant @ El Rey Theater, Los Angeles 10/27/11

The Lemonheads

|Andrew Youssef

With the omission of "Mrs. Robinson" and Juliana Hatfield on bass, The Lemonheads played all the way through their classic album "It's A Shame About Ray" at the El Rey Theater. Abetted by a highly competent rhythm section, Evan Dando whipped through the album and revisited such staples as "Being Around", "If I Could Talk, I'd Tell You", "The Great Big No", "Down About It" and "Into Your Arms". In the opener department, The Shining Twins were a stripped down guitar and drum punk version of Veruca Salt while Street Chant from New Zealand also shared the stage. Check out the photos above.
