As reported time and again, Massive Attack’s forthcoming Heligoland features a monstrous cameo list with the occasional side dish of NSFW porn confessional. The track with Tunde is out there, and in step with Damon’s recently revealed Gorillaz jam comes this collab with the Bristol duo on “Saturday Come Slow.” It’s a Heligoland high water mark for Massive Attack’s restrained, pitch-perfect production and Damon’s weary, wrenching delivery. Don’t miss:
Heligoland is out 2/9 via Virgin.

cute
More of this please.
pretty underwhelming, it sounds like a blur b side.
I agree. Underwhelming. I don’t mind Massive Attack taking close to a decade for each release, but let me think you were doing something! Still, I think the rest of the album will be brilliant.
is that the beginning of “Backdrifts. (Honeymoon is Over.)” from HTTT at the end? or am i hearing things?
I had high hopes for the Damon Albarn track… sadly, I think it’s the weakest track on the album (which is no Mezzanine, but still pretty great)
not blown away by this . . . and btw; massive attack’s best albums never needed “monstrous cameo list” of guests . . . so i’m already a little skeptical about this one to be honest . . . I would be more excited if the next album had the full massive attack line-up (mushroom)
The best thing I have heard from this band. Hmmmmm……I wonder why?
Come on… It’s a breath of fresh air in a sea of mediocre music (vampire weekend *cough*). And seriously, its Massive Attack with Damon Albarn; did you really expect something OVERwhelming?
@questionforyou
I was thinking the same thing… backdrifts?
i believe at 3:28 it begins, perhaps this was taken from some radio show, strange indeed.
Give it a bunch of listens. It grows on you. Damon pours it out on this. Good to hear.
