On this new tune, released today from the great Asa Breed's sessions on RCRD LBL, Matthew Dear builds a vocals/beats/synth-plinks jam by gradually coating the subdivision spectrum, allowing only the high, moaning vocals and occasional keyboard line to sustain longer than an eighth note or two. Like Breed, we get Dear's distinct if slight baritone to pin things down. It's just one groove and as such feels a little like a sketch, but when you're Matthew Dear even your sketches are better than most of what's out there in techno land.
