New Röyksopp (Feat. Robyn) Video - "The Girl & The Robot"

As those production stills suggested, the Michael Baldwin-directed video for oft performed "The Girl & The Robot" offers a very literal interpretation of the track. Basically, we find poor lonesome Robyn home alone in her best dress, cocktail in hand,...  CONTINUE READING NEW RöYKSOPP (FEAT. ROBYN) VIDEO - "THE GIRL & THE ROBOT"»

Robyn On The Daily Show

Wyatt Cenac visited Sweden to see if it's the Socialist nightmare Glenn Beck keeps telling us it is. After a tour of Robyn's crib he learned the ugly truth: Sweden's pop stars live like America's reality show stars. Watch here....  CONTINUE READING ROBYN ON THE DAILY SHOW»

Röyksopp's First TV Appearance in Seven Years Involves Robyn And "The Girl And The Robot"

It seems the Norwegian duo have been pretty video camera shy since their support tour of Melody A.M., so it makes sense that they broke their live TV abstinence on the track that Robyn guests on. She has a way...  CONTINUE READING RöYKSOPP'S FIRST TV APPEARANCE IN SEVEN YEARS INVOLVES ROBYN AND "THE GIRL AND THE ROBOT"»

Coachella 2009: Cure, MBV, Antony Assault The Sound System

Surprise, it wasn't My Bloody Valentine's 15-minute aural assault "You Made Me Realise" that caused Sunday's biggest audio mishap. Organizers cut the speakers during the Cure's "Fire In Cairo" (two songs into a third encore) only to watch the band...  CONTINUE READING COACHELLA 2009: CURE, MBV, ANTONY ASSAULT THE SOUND SYSTEM»

When talking about Röyksopp's forthcoming Junior, we've mentioned that the longstanding Norwegian duo's post-birthday collection includes guest vocal spots from the Scandinavian all-star team of Lykki Li, Anneli Drecker, Karin Dreijer, and Robyn. Radiohead, Lil Wayne Nominated For Album Of The Year Grammy

Remember the 50th Annual Grammy Awards? Alicia Keys duetting with the ghost of Sinatra? Will.i.am rapping nonsense? Album of the Year River: The Joni Letters??? New Christian Falk (Feat. Robyn) Video - "Dream On"

With "Dream On," Swedish producer/composer Christian Falk sets a nighttime backdrop for Swedish Robyn to do her thing, singing about pimps, punks, lifers, and snitchers. Now it's time to do the math. Originally, it wasn't just Robyn on the track:...  CONTINUE READING NEW CHRISTIAN FALK (FEAT. ROBYN) VIDEO - "DREAM ON"»

Robyn's "Who's That Girl" To Get A Release, Some Remixes, A Video

While we're airing the dirty laundry/our compulsions, we semi-obsessively check in at Robyn's MySpace because she's, ya know, awesome, and learned today that the next single (compliments of Robyn's UK release cycle) is "Who's That Girl," her collab with the Knife, due April '08. What this means for you, person that's had the album for three years, is three new remixes (by Seamus Haji, Rex The Dog, and Drop The Lime) and a new, Diane Martel (of White Stripes and Beyoncé fame)-directed video. At this point "Who's That Girl" is one of the few LP tracks that doesn't already have a video (or two), so we are excited. That is all.

Robyn & Snoop Dogg Erupt, Sexually

Meet the only thing more irresistible than Snoop with a talk box: Snoop with a talk box with a Robyn. It's a fairly sweet Fyre Department remix of Dogg's pimptastic Zapp & Roger turn, with Robyn adding some new logs to the fire. We only wish that pic came from an actual photo shoot, and further only wish we were invited to said photo shoo. Anyway, one week 'til Highline. Yes.

Never Mind The Buzzcocks, It's Robyn

Fly., Phill Jupitus, Bill Bailey, Mark Watson, and Christopher Biggins to hear Simon Amstell's horrible roast abilities and discuss the likelihood a bird ever shit in Cyndi Lauper's mouth.

New Robyn Video - "Be Mine (Ocelot Mthrfckers Remix)"

The mthrfckers at Ocelot offer up a super-fine dance remix of Robyn's "Be Mine!" and set it to footage from Action Figure, adding to the growing list of the tune's videos. While the original was moving -- what with the Robyn meltdown and the shaving of the head head in the mirror (pre-Britney, mind) -- this one's just hilarious ... especially when the approaching boxing gloves start making contact ... and especially when the folks getting hit are either smiling, wearing glasses, or ample-faced just seconds before contact. Does that make us bad people? Actually don't answer. Instead, get psyched: Robyn is coming! And Stereogum sort of collectively bought way too many tickets out of sheer excitement. It'd be smart if you did, too. (Go, we mean; getting too many tix was actually pretty dumb.) (via P4K)
