Fever Ray @ Webster Hall, NYC 9/28/09

Webster Hall gets shit for its prices, its show times, its subterranean club that pipes booty bass up through the floorboards at intimate shows. But you can't argue the Hall's landmark status, or at least not if Karin Andersson keeps...  CONTINUE READING FEVER RAY @ WEBSTER HALL, NYC 9/28/09»

New Röyksopp (Feat Fever Ray) Video - "This Must Be It"

Röyksopp's futuristic "The Girl & The Robot" video starred a lonesome stay-at-home Robyn longing for her electro-mechanical man. "This Must Be It" includes the voice of Karin Dreijer Andersson, but instead of Fever Ray, the Filip and Andreas Nilsson-directed video...  CONTINUE READING NEW RöYKSOPP (FEAT FEVER RAY) VIDEO - "THIS MUST BE IT"»

Crookers Remix Fever Ray

Italian DJ/production duo Crookers' amped "Seven" remix, complete with stuttered dance-floor vocals/ring-a-lings, is available at Electric Zoo. It's part of the "Seven" single out 10/5 with takes by CSS, Marcel Dettman, Martyn, Nic Chacona, Real Daniel, and Seth Troxler....  CONTINUE READING CROOKERS REMIX FEVER RAY»

New Fever Ray Video - "Triangle Walks" (Stereogum Premiere)

Continuing in the dark path of "When I Grow Up" and its precursor "If I Had A Heart," Karin Dreijer's assembled another creepy, eerie, visually stunning clip for Fever Ray's "Triangle Walks." Basically we get Dreijer's in her face paint...  CONTINUE READING NEW FEVER RAY VIDEO - "TRIANGLE WALKS" (STEREOGUM PREMIERE)»

New Fever Ray Video - "When I Grow Up"

Fever Ray, aka the Knife's Karin Dreijer, created a sublimely creepy video for "If I Had A Heart," the first track on her excellent self-titled debut. The atmosphere lets up for at least part of the beautiful Martin de Thurah-directed...  CONTINUE READING NEW FEVER RAY VIDEO - "WHEN I GROW UP"»

New Fever Ray - "If I Had A Heart" (Fuck Buttons Remix) (Stereogum Premiere)

It'd be interesting to see how Andreas Nilsson would shift his eerie "If I Had A Heart" video to match onetime BTW Fuck Button's bouncier remix. Instead of Knife Karin Dreijer's dark, pulsing, ambient single we get one of those...  CONTINUE READING NEW FEVER RAY - "IF I HAD A HEART" (FUCK BUTTONS REMIX) (STEREOGUM PREMIERE)»

New Fever Ray (The Knife's Karin Dreijer) Video - "If I Had a Heart"

Regular Knife visual collaborator Andreas Nilsson offers an eerie video for "If I Had A Heart," the dark, pulsing, ambient first single from Karin Dreijer's new project, Fever Ray. It's pretty great -- a couple of kids carry a torch...  CONTINUE READING NEW FEVER RAY (THE KNIFE'S KARIN DREIJER) VIDEO - "IF I HAD A HEART"»

New Robyn (Feat. The Knife) Video - "Who's That Girl"

"Good girls are pretty like all the time, I'm just pretty some of the time." For Robyn, "some of the time" happens to be any time (particularly when she's in a video or on stage), but that lyric and our...  CONTINUE READING NEW ROBYN (FEAT. THE KNIFE) VIDEO - "WHO'S THAT GIRL"»

Robyn's "Who's That Girl" To Get A Release, Some Remixes, A Video

While we're airing the dirty laundry/our compulsions, we semi-obsessively check in at Robyn's MySpace because she's, ya know, awesome, and learned today that the next single (compliments of Robyn's UK release cycle) is "Who's That Girl," her collab with the Knife, due April '08. What this means for you, person that's had the album for three years, is three new remixes (by Seamus Haji, Rex The Dog, and Drop The Lime) and a new, Diane Martel (of White Stripes and Beyoncé fame)-directed video. At this point "Who's That Girl" is one of the few LP tracks that doesn't already have a video (or two), so we are excited. That is all.
