"Why?" is the sort of strained-relationship midtempo wailer that Mary J. Blige seems to own the patent on, and it's weirdly heartening to see that she's still great at it despite what appears to be a happy married life. The Colin Tilley-directed video, too, is pure vintage MJB. But the real reason to pay attention is Rick Ross, resplendent in a bright white dinner jacket and generally carrying himself like the smoothest man at the planet and, at the same time, the luckiest one.
