The new Sigur Rós album Valtari is imminent, and we've already heard the early tracks "Ekki Múkk," "Kvistur," and "Varúð." Last night, another new song called "Dauðalogn" debuted on the season finale of The Vampire Diaries, a CW undead-teenager melodrama that my wife keeps insisting I would like if I gave it a chance. The shimmering, ethereal track, it turns out, makes a pretty great score for what appear to be some extremely dramatic events. The video below is full of spoilers, so beware, but it'll give you a chance to hear the song.
