NY State Senate, Street Artists Honors MCA

Earlier this month, we lost Beastie Boy Adam Yauch, and credit the government of his home state for knowing that they should probably do something to honor the man's legacy. A couple of days ago, State Senator Daniel Squadron drafted a resolution to honor Yauch, and the state Senate adapted it. Below, watch video of Squadron introducing the resolution.

"Senator Squadron" totally sounds like a title for a Beasties funk instrumental. Read the resolution over at Spin, and above check out some of the MCA murals and tributes that have gone up around NYC since the rapper's death.
