Last night, Bon Iver and Frank Ocean performed at Manhattan's gorgeous Angel Orensanz Center. It was the final installment in Vitaminwater and the FADER's nine-city Uncapped series. The event was free -- those interested in attending were able to RSVP online -- and thus, as you might expect, the place was packed. Frank Ocean took the stage first; he and his excellent band delivered another amazing perfromance (his setlist is included in the photo gallery). Bon Iver followed. The band, consisting of frontman Justin Vernon and nine multi-instrumentalists, was powerful yet capable of delicate moments of sublime beauty. The crowd was so moved that even after Bon Iver concluded their set and the applause stopped, fans were still singing the refrain from the last song, and continued to do so for at least another two minutes.
